PROBLEM STATEMENT
The requirement was to allow agents for uploading property data through a common interface even though the format of data may be different. The application handles data from any relational database supporting ADODB as well as semi-structured formats like Excel and XML. The major aspects of the application are to manage large data-sizes in different formats with optimal performance did not fit the web-based system.
SOLUTION AND APPROACH
The approach of Batoi was divided into two clear foci. One was to find a solution for effective parsing of unstructured data like MS Excel and XML documents apart from supporting data of different relational databases. The other focus was to integrate with the existing website by importing its user sessions and verification of subscribers.
We chose a 3rd party Excel and XML parsers to implement the data aggregation from unstructured data sources.
We also included a routine to achieve extraction from encrypted format of XML data sources and to support localization.
