In recent years, women entrepreneurs have been seen stepping into new sectors and are accomplishing their objectives. The involvement of women in various entrepreneurial activities has enhanced their confidence level and has inspired them to explore different fields.
Keeping this in view, the World Trade Center, Bhubaneswar, in association with the Ministry of MSME, MSME DI Cuttack, and Batoi, organized a half a day Interactive Entrepreneurship Program for Women on March 11, 2022, in Bhubaneswar.
To empower women who are home-based entrepreneurs to get an online presence and to help their business enterprises undergo digital transformation, Batoi offered IT services worth 1 lakh, which includes CloudSpace subscription, online shopping cart with payment gateway, application to manage inventories, and sales to selected entrepreneurs who participated in the event.
The program aimed at providing an effective platform to the women entrepreneurs to speak about their product/services to prospective customers such as PSUs and corporates and understand the various schemes of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
As many as 49 entrepreneurs from different industry verticals, including handicrafts, jewelry, textiles, garments, fashion accessories, cosmetics, home decor and paintings, confectionery, food, etc., participated in the event.
The event was very successful for us and generated interest from the participating entrepreneurs in our offerings to enable them to start their digital journey.
Speaking about the event, Mr Ashwini Kumar Rath, Founder & CEO of Batoi, said, "We aim at not helping but including women entrepreneurs into our system and impact not only their lives but also the society in a big way by promoting social equality and inclusivity. It is an initiative to help them take the next step to expand their markets and convert their customer base and sales in entirely new ways”.
